Practice
Today I played for 15 min before I came to school. I quickly worked through my scales with a few hesitations but almost always the right notes. I practiced D major scale and some select parts of Chillers and Thrillers. It was basically just a warm up for the day and like always, I love to spend time playing!

Practice
Today I practiced for 20 min on my scales, 1-8. I played slowly to get the right notes and fingerings and then again to try playing it up to speed. I then played Study #8 in the red book using the same method, slowly to play it clearly. I finished by playing a couple of the quartet pieces, March and Salute.

Practice
Today I practiced for 30 min working on our final playing exam. I played the D major scale getting use to the fingerings until it becomes more natural. I then worked on the scales 1-8 just to figure out the basics and later to play it up to speed. Next, I tried Study #8 with some success. I will continue until I completely get it. I then just worked on speed and pitch to improve my range and overall playing.

Practice
Today I practiced for 25min. I warmed up playing a few study pieces and scales for about 10 min. after this, I played chillers and thrillers to work on figuring out how the song goes and carmina burana to work on my dynamics for the rest of the time. I find I am improving on my range every time I play and am noticing improvements in my speed.

Practice
This morning I practiced for 20 min in total mostly just playing for fun but working on some minor things. I practiced my range as I like to so that I will eventually be able to play much higher. I did this by picking out old band pieces that had higher ranged parts.
Next I practiced my playing speed. I played the main theme from Pirates of the Caribbean and the fourth movement of Second Suite. I finished of by playing a couple scales from the purple book.

Practice
Today I practiced at lunch for 15 min working on page 20 of our purple book lines 3,4 and 5. This was our test and I was just touching up on notes and speed of playing. After school I practiced for 20 min on random band pieces that we're either playing now, or have already played. I basically just tried to play the pieces in the higher register to practice my range.

Practice
Today I tried something new. Or rather really old. I took just my mouthpiece and practiced long tones as well as changing from a high to low pitch. Next I played a few scales from our purple book working on them in half notes as well as the thirds and arpeggio. I followed this with some work on the trumpet solo of Pirates of the Caribbean which I find sometimes I have the range to play and others I don't. I chose to work on Second Suite even though we're done with it just because I think it's a good piece to practice rhythm and speed. I finished off just by playing through some fun pieces we played in grade 10 music. I practiced for a total of about 30 min and was pleased afterwords.

Practice
Today I practiced for 25 min on scales and Rumble on the High Plains. I am improving on my ability to read notes slightly faster. I played through a few of these in our purple study book for about 15 min. After that I played through Rumble on the High Plains and worked on my dynamics and timing. I hope to improve my scales and hopefully memorize a few.

Practice
Last night I practiced for 30 minutes working on improving my range and clarity. I started with my concert Bb scale and did some variations on it to warm-up. I then pulled out Rumble On the High Plains because I thought this song in particular would help with my clarity. After 10-15 min, I moved on to Pirates of the Caribbean where the whole song is basically in the upper register and simply worked on hitting the notes as clear as possible.
I finished up by going through old band music and just playing for fun.

Practice
Today i practiced for 35 min starting with a quick 5-10 min warm up on scales. I then played the first movement of Second Suite practicing first on my notes and articulation and then proceeding to speed it all up. Next I pulled out Pirates of the Caribbean and practiced the high solo for trumpet. It is a work in progress! I then spent the last 5-10 playing some old band pieces just for fun which still improves my overall playing just by practicing in general.

Practice Time
Today I practiced for 35 minutes. I spent 10 min at first warming up by playing concert Bb scale and playing intervals. I then practiced for my test which was later today (skills study) and slowed it down in order to play it with better accuracy and control my playing. Then I slowly sped it up to regular tempo which I found much easier than going straight into a fast tempo. I spent the next little while practicing Pirates of the Carribbean because it has a high 1st trumpet piece so I was working on improving my range. I then practiced the band pieces starting with Rhosymedre followed by The Light Eternal and finishing with Rumble On the High Plains. I worked on all the hard trumpet parts working to improve speed and playing the proper notes.
I hope to improve my scales and be able to read them quicker to speed up my overall playing.
